Plastic surgery

Our plastic surgeons work on the reconstruction of both facial and body defects in order to correct them. We provide treatment for the following specialties under plastic surgery – aesthetic/cosmetic surgery, burn surgery, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, pediatric plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

The surgical procedures under plastic surgery are as follows-

  • Breast surgery- We provide surgery for breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift. We use implants and grafts in breast augmentation to increase the size, removal of skin and glandular tissues to reduce the size, and removal of breast skin to reshape and prevent sagginess.
  • Body lift- We contour the upper and lower body surgically to remove cellulite. The areas surgically treated are the arms, abdomen, breasts, hips, buttocks and thighs.
  • Ear correction- This is performed to correct ear folds and protruding ears for children as well as adults.
  • Eyelid surgery- Also referred as blepharoplasty, this aims at correcting the upper and lower lids of the eyes. Surgery is performed to correct loose skin that creates folds, fatty deposits in the lids, eye bags, drooping lower lids and wrinkles on the lower lid.
  • Facelift- Also referred as rhytidectomy, it is a surgical procedure that restores a youthful appearance to the face and neck by removing signs of aging. These are indicated by sagging in the middle of your face, deep creases below the eyelids and along the nose, loss of fat and skin tone, loose skin and fatty deposits under the jaw.
  • Fat grafting- This surgical procedure is useful for filling volume-deficient areas of the body by taking excess fat from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks through liposuction. It can be used to graft hands, face, skin depressions, breasts and buttocks in a liquidated form.
  • Hair transplant- It is used to restore hair on the patients’ areas of hair loss, by replanting their own hair follicles. It can also be used to hide scarring over eyebrows or mustache area. We perform follicular unit grafting methods for hair transplantation.
  • Hand surgery- This is a type of reconstructive plastic surgery. If the patient’s hand is impaired, hand surgery would improve the conditions by treating pain and restoring strength. Hand surgery is commonly performed on the wrist and fingers, for disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and dupuytren’s contracture.
  • Liposuction- It aims at reshaping the body’s contours by removing excess fat deposits. It is commonly performed on localized fat deposits of face, neck, upper arms, chest, back, abdomen, hips and buttocks, thighs, inner knee, calves and ankles.
  • Laser hair removal- It is a non-invasive technique using highly concentrated light for penetrating hair follicles, which brings about permanent hair loss. Body areas commonly exercised under laser hair removal are the face, arms, underarms, hands, bikini line and the legs. It takes about three to seven sessions to bring about significant hair reduction, with maintenance treatments periodically.
  • Rhinoplasty- It is used for improving the appearance of the nose, by reducing the nose projection, removing hump, correcting depressions and deviations, narrowing the width and lifting the nose tip higher.
  • Tummy tuck- Also called abdominoplasty, it is a procedure to remove sagging skin on the abdomen and tighten the abdominal wall muscles. It restores the skin tone in the area to give firmer skin, which is lost after pregnancy and excessive weight loss. If there is a combination of fat and loose skin, liposuction can be performed alongside tummy tuck.
